Miami, Florida-The Haitian American Nurses Association of Florida, Inc. (HANA) is deeply saddened by the devasting news of the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck the southwest region of our beloved homeland Haiti on Saturday morning. HANA of Florida sends sincere condolences and prayers to the families of all who have lost their lives and all who are directly impacted by this disaster. We would like to thank the community for the outpour of calls and offers of support. HANA of Florida would like to ensure the community that we are closely monitoring the development as they unfold. We are in close communication with our partners in Haiti as we reach out to our local organizations to strategize, collaborate, and plan effective immediate and extended relief efforts.
HANA of Florida is immensely grateful to the community for their generosity and willingness to always be there for our brothers and sisters in Haiti. Currently, HANA is accepting monetary donations via the HANA website at www.hanaofflorida.org, CashApp $HANAofFL, or PayPal to help with the immediate execution of efforts on the ground. In the coming days and weeks as new developments unfold, HANA will inform the community of our efforts.
The Haitian American Nurses Association of Florida, (HANA) is a 501c (3) non-profit membership organization founded in 1984. The Mission of HANA of Florida is to provide nurses the opportunity to unite as a group, to share and provide ideas of interest, and to become effectively involved with the issues and services relevant to the health and welfare of communities in Florida and abroad.
